Socials Studies - Now that you have finished collecting your notes it is time to write them into sentences. Two paragraphs (with topic sentences) are due Thurs June 2nd.


June 2nd - Farewell party for Dora. You may bring a small handmade gift if you like.
June 3rd - Japanese cooking. Mrs. Estabrook will be helping us make 2 Japanese dishes and we will also create origami.

May 25 Homework

1. Literature Circles:

• WM-read chapter 10, finish Reading Response for chapter 9.
• SU-read chapter 12, finish Reading Response for chapter 10,
• TL-read chapters 24-34, do 6 Square, New Words and Passage.
• BW-read p. 36-45, do 6 Square, New Words and Passage

    2. Socials-finish collecting notes.

May 18 Homework

Do a bit of homework each night. You have 7 nights as well as Saturday and Sunday to complete the following:

1. WM-Do the Venn diagram. Remember that if you say "I have brown hair," you must have a contrasting comment about the character that you are comparing yourself to ie. "Will has blonde hair." Read chapter 9.
2. SU-Do the Venn diagram. Remember that if you say "I have brown hair," you must have a contrasting comment about the character that you are comparing yourself to ie. "Erica has blonde hair." Read chapters 10 & 11.
3. TL-Read chapters 16-23. Work on Reading Response, New Words, and Passage.
4. BW- Nothing has been assigned.

May 11 Homework-Due May 18

Do a bit of homework each night. You have 7 nights as well as Saturday and Sunday to complete the following:

1. WM-Finish 6 Square, New Words, and Passage for chapters 6 and 7. Complete, "Characters I Will Meet. Read chapter 8.
2. SU-Finish "Characters I Will Meet".  Read chapters 6,7, 8 and  9,
3. TL-Read chapters 10-15. work on Reading Response, New Words, and Passage.
4. BW- read pages 30-35.

May 10 Homework

Literature Circles

1. WM-Read chapter 6&7
2. SU-Finish 6 square, new words, passage for chapter 5 and be prepared to share during class discussion.
3. TL-Finish 6 square, new words, passage and be prepared to share during class discussion.
4. BW-Read part 4 pages 24-30. Wednesday work on character sketch and passage.

May 3rd Homework

Math test on Perimeter and Area on Thursday May 5th. Study by doing corrections on previous assignments.
Japan - I Know/I Wonder due May 5th
Japan - Think about a topic you would like to research in connection to Japan. We will choose them on Friday May 6th.
